Humorous course about showmanship, stick tricks and tips for an entertaining stage performance with Mike Terrana.
It’s all about the show. Really?! Shouldn’t it be: music always comes first!
In this course Mike shows that bringing an exciting show to the stage and at the same time providing a great musical performance do not have to exclude each other. Good drumming is of course the basis of every concert, but an audience always wants to be entertained. The presence of the musician – sometimes in the form of stick tricks – plays a decisive role.
On one hand, this course is intended as a practical guide to the topic of showmanship, including warm-up exercises. On the other hand, Mike discusses the often difficult search for ones own voice as a musician in our networked world. He shares very personal experiences he has made on his journey to being a professional drummer and reveals how he manages to focus and preserve the joy playing the drums.
A humorous course that still provides valuable food for thought for every ambitious musician.
